Wyrdspace Issue #1!

Wyrdspace. Gosh.

So in the wayback time of 2000 and 14, I finally stuck what I'd been trying to do for many years: I made a comic book. After it was complete, we boothed at cons in Albuqueruqe and Austin, TX (highlight was talking to Grace Ellis and her saying she didn't have the money to buy one, so I signed it and gave it to her and she got teary-eyed. I wonder if she remembers me lol). But then my artist moved away and New Mexico time, as it does, stretched on.

Now I'm living on the east coast and living every moment. I just went to Metatopia two weekends ago with my brand-new design (teases and updates upcoming I'm sure) and it went absolute gangbusters. This past weekend, I got to rep for Indie Press Revolution at the wonderful "Save Against Fear" convention. I will be returning to that every year that I am able.

So Wyrdspace. I want to tell more stories. I'd love to use my screenwriting educate more, too. And comic books have grown up with me, from the beginings of the 3-for-a-dollar bargain bins of cancelled 90's Marvel titles my brother and I would collect, coming up to Maus and Sandman as a teen, to whatever beautiful work I pick up now and am blown away by.

I've had the second issue of Wyrdspace completely outlined since 2014, too. And the first 6 issues or so in broadstrokes, the way you think emotionally where you want a TTRPG to go. And certainly the giant themes I wanted to explore.

So here is a gift. A piece of my heart, certainly. I hope to return it some day. (I still will find myself fantasizing about a Bucky O'Hare-style Saturday morning cartoon adaptation with "Art of Dying" by George Harrison at the Intro song haha*)

*Closing Credits, "It Don't Come Easy" by Ringo Starr)

See you on the other side!
